January Challenge: COMPLETED
My challenge to myself for the month of January was to get through the Dryathlon – to consume precisely 0 units of alcohol for the entire month. Well, it’s the last day of January and assuming I don’t fall off while at work I will have achieved the first of 12 major challenges this month!
But this challenge is different to all the others. All the rest are intended to further my weight loss/fitness/creative writing efforts this year, but the January challenge was purely for charity. A minor challenge for the month was to raise £100 for Cancer Research UK and I am ever so nearly there! So if you have been waiting to see if I fail and drown myself in chardonnay at some point in january then HA! IN YOUR FACE! And pretty please donate on my JustGiving page? Or by texting FOPP69 and an amount such as £2 £5 £5 or goodness knows even £10 to 70070? Thank you please!
Next month the challenge gets serious. For the month of February I challenge myself to consume no more than 50,000 calories, with extra points awarded if I come in under that. That works out to an average of about 1785 calories per day which for a well-built man with a physical job means I could lose more than half a stone if I manage it. And I need to, as I’ve been comfort eating due to lack of alcohol…
