Ah yes, my fatblog. It’s been a while. Everything was going so well until my job changed a few months ago and since then I’ve been struggling. Long-time readers will know that I used to have quite a physical job that meant that as long as I controlled my eating, I lost weight quite easily. This is no longer the case.
Since September I’ve not lifted anything heavier than a laptop and I’ve been sat on my arse all day, which has grown steadily wider. And that is how I find myself today weighing 93.5 kg, about 6 kg heavier than I was three months ago. Admittedly some of it the scales going out of calibration cos I haven’t used them in ages, some of it is dehydration and some of it is short-term Christmas bloat (I lost 0.9 kg over the past few days simply by drinking loads of water and not eating loads of bad food) but a lot of it is just fat, plain and simple. I know this because my Aria Smart Scales helpfully tell me I am now similar in biochemical composition to a pork scratching. I need to start monitoring, and getting rid of.
We shall walk this path together, you and I. At least, I hope so, cos if I have to do it on my own that is just going to be a ball-ache. Much easier with people telling you to get up off your pikelet and get some exercise done! If you’re on a weight-loss mission let me know; let’s smash it together. 2015 feels like it will be a slender year…
