#BEDM14 Day 22 – Apologise
I’m sorry. I didn’t vote on Thursday. I wanted to! But the wind was against me. I was at work two hours earlier than normal and getting out to vote would have required me to be be awake even earlier than that, as I wasn’t back home in time to vote before the polls closed. I lost my ballot form. I had no idea where the polling station I should have gone to was. I have very little ability to organise things like this in advance. My dog ate my homework, etc.
I’ve run the numbers and checked and my vote would not have changed the electoral math in my area so I don’t feel as mortified as I otherwise would. But had I voted it would not have gone to one of the big three (that the big three includes UKIP gives me a tension headache) so my vote would proportionally have increased their share by much more than if I had voted for Labour, for instance, so I am also sorry for that.
Sorry, sorry, sorry. I DID vote in the local council elections a three years ago so as long as I vote in the General Election next year (and I WILL) I don’t think I fall foul of @loosemorals‘ Disenfranchisement Rule:
I stand by it. Revoke the franchise from all who fail to vote in 2 elections. And watch ’em scurry to the polls! @foppishdrunk @picnarkes

So there we are. My apologies. I shall try to refrain from moaning about the result of the elections, as long as I’m allowed to go on ripping the piss out of UKIP on a generalised basis.
